Step back in time and enjoy fall traditions, music and community as it was in Ohio during the mid-1800s from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 1, during the Old-Time Harvest Day at Century Village in Fryer Park, 4185 Orders Road. The Southwest Franklin County Historical Society and the City of Grove City provide an opportunity for families to connect with the community’s past.

Experience living history with a variety of demonstrations and exhibits of traditional crafts and daily chores including leather tooling, quilting, rope making, one- and two-man sawing, corn husking, shelling and grinding, tin smithing, butter churning and finger knitting.

Plan to experience:

  • Costumed re-enactors and period music.
  • The Clover Club 4H group animals.
  • Restored and reconstructed historical buildings including a one-room schoolhouse, log cabin, general store and barns.
  • The Village herb garden, windmill and antique equipment.
  • Metalworking demonstrations on a traditional forge in the blacksmith shop.

Admission and parking are free. Donations of non-perishable food items for the Grove City Food Pantry will be accepted at this rain-or-shine event.

This event is presented by the  Southwest Franklin County Historical Society and the City of Grove City.
